The following is a list of our services

*BASIC SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR & STAFF

Our charge includes funeral counseling, necessary arrangements, recording vital statistics, securing permits, filing and obtaining death and other forms and claims, preparation of necessary notices, and coordination of services, plans with parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the arrangements you select. This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials and forwarding and receiving remains to and from other funeral firms.

Overhead or operating costs are figured by the expenses incurred not only in conducting the service, but the 24 hour availibility of the staff and equipment to conduct these services in a moments notice, at any location. Unlike a wedding which most folks have weeks and months to plan for, this all must be done at the needed hour, and when considering the cost of an average wedding to be $28,000.00, our professional fee is a fair price. We all know that the hospital charge for an ambulance trip is several hundred dollars, and we know that the gas to go a short distance does not cost that much nor the immediate time for the wages of the attendants to pick you up…but they have to be ready three shifts a day, for when the need may arise…just like us, you are paying us to be ready, because a death or medical emergency can not be planned.

*EMBALMING

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

The first reason for embalming a body, is to sanitize the remains so that any disease present would not be passed on to the family and friends attending the service, the second objective is to preserve the remains until visitors and family from distant places may arrive for the service. In olden times, the burial had to take place very soon after the death to avoid the unpleasant state of decomposition, and thirdly the restoration of the body to a pleasant state, to provide a fitting memory picture, this is probably the most talked about aspect of embalming, and we feel every effort should be given. When the body has a somewhat peaceful appearance, it comforts the survivors, likewise if every detail of the preparation is not seen to, it will provide an unpleasant experience. Mark C. New who graduated with a high honors(99.99) in resorative art, and also has 29 years of experience in this field, prepares all the loved ones trusted to this firm, and if he is unavailible, he is just as particular with the embalmer handling the calls in the event he is away…strict high standards always!!

*OTHER PREPARATION OF REMAINS INCLUDED WITH EMBALMING DRESSING, CASKETING, AND COSMETICS

Use of Facilities, Staff, and Equipment:

*For funeral ceremony (conducted at the funeral home or another location)

*For visitation (conducted at the funeral home or another location)

The two lounges provide ample room to relax with family & visitors..

When visitation starts, we stay open until the funeral service is over, often people wonder why?

This allows a more homelike atmosphere, and also since so many people commute, at different hours, they may stop by and pay their respects. Many times health care workers become extended members of the family, but often get off at 11:00 p.m. or have to go to work at or before 7:00a.m.

This allows more flexibility for all who may want to come.

Summary of the Payment options

We know that death is so overwhelming & taxing to the emotions, and we don’t ever mean to come across as cruel or uncaring, however this business is one where like any other, expenses must be met, payroll, all the things that cost to keep us here when you need us. Hopefully this does not happen in your family very often, however we deal with several families in a months time, and we must treat them all the same, thus coming to a clear understanding of the payment of our services. We simply can’t tell the electric company or others we have to pay, casket companies, vault companies, etc..That we will pay them some day..They demand we meet our expenses..This is what causes ours to have to be met in a timely fashion.

Many of the families we serve, select high quality caskets and or vaults, so, many people hear how much their funeral cost and think “wow, we can‘t afford them“, when in reality we have services many thousands of dollars less expensive and some costing much more. Our goal is to satisfy your professional needs and personal wishes at a price you can afford. We do not differ in the way we conduct the service, the way we prepare the body, or the facilities used, regardless of what you spend, this cost is determined in your selection of caskets, vaults & other funeral related merchandise. People don’t select a doctor for medical treatment, a lawyer for court representation or any other professional service on price alone…when comparing our level of service, facilities & staff with our fees, you will find you get more than your moneys worth.

Weddings can be done at the court house, or at big banquet hall, either way you are married, funerals are so much like this, if you want modest or elaborate, either way it is the final tribute, but if you are paying whatever price, at whatever funeral firm, its not good if there is not enough room to seat all the visitors, plenty of parking, a compassionate staff conducting your service in a professional & dignified manner…because unlike a wedding ceremony…it can’t be redone or rehearsed…

Should I pre-arrange my funeral?

We hope this price sheet has given you enough information to help in any planning in your final arrangements…we will also be glad to answer any questions you have concerning any or all aspects of our professional service, and to plan a tribute for you or your loved one that is as unique as the life this tribute celebrates. We are often amazed at the people whom never give any thought to this event in life’s journey or the expense it may bring, be it modest or elaborate. We counsel many people on planning for this, and the financial aspects of it when they are not emotionally stressed. Remember…you may never use your car insurance…you may never use your house insurance… But sometime you will need your burial insurance.
