William "Bill" Hester

  Mr. William Henry “Bill” Hester Jr. of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky, having attained the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 2 days. He was born on Friday, June 5, 1942 in Beech Grove, Indiana, the son of William H. Sr. & Margaret (Adams) Hester. William proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and worked in maintenance for Raytheon. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene (Jack) Hester, whom he wed on April 1, 2002, children, Catherine Sue (& David) Vance of Burkesville, Kentucky, step-son, Rodney (& Debbie) Selvio of Pensacola, Florida,  step-children, Michelle (& Gary) Maynard of Greenfield, Indiana, Angela Vollrath of Marysville, Ohio, Scott Johnson of Green Field, Indiana, grandchildren, Bradley Vance, Nicholas Vance, and seven step-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Memory Chapel of the Norris-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Joshua M. Steele officiating. Burial was in the Perkins Cemetery in Cumberland County Kentucky. Casket bearers were David Vance, Nick Vance, Jeff Ramsey, Gary Maynard, Al Rector, and Kris Vollran. Military honors provided by Monticello D.A.V. # 105.
