Mr. Willard Cleve Willis of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky having attained the age of 80 years, 7 months, and 12 days. He was born on Sunday, February 25, 1945, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, the son of Leslie Nell & Alta (Blythe) Willis. A man of Christian faith, he attended Grace Union Baptist Church, and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked as the head mechanic for Oshkosh and had a lifelong love for tinkering and fixing things. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Emogene (Willis) Gwinn.
He is survived by his sons, Brian (& Amy) Willis of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Brent Willis (& Andrea Richardson) of Burkesville, Kentucky, sister, Betty (Willis) Feldt of Louisville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Dylan Carr Willis, Ava Bren Willis, and Adrian Phoenix Willis.
The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Sells officiating. Memories and reflections were shared by Ava Willis. Pallbearers were Robert Richardson, Brad Garner, Danny Melton, Carl Scott, Billy Blythe, Adrian Willis, Ava Willis, Dylan Willis, and Stephen Contos. Full military honors were performed by the Monticello DAV Chapter 105 of Monticello, Kentucky. Burial was in the Murley Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
