Todd Allen Montgomery

     Mr. Todd Allen Montgomery, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 09, 2023 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green having attained the age of 46 years, and 13 days. He was born on March 27, 1977, the son of George and Ella (Nichols) Montgomery. He was a member of Centerpoint Church of the Nazarene in Burkesville, Kentucky. He was proceeded in death by his Grandparents Louise and Bjorn Jacobsen, Margaret and Loftin Montgomery, Myrna Carlson, Brother Kenneth Groeling of Pecatonica Illinois, Uncle, John Nichols of Lexington, Kentucky, Aunt and Uncle Joan and Albert D’Epiro of Fairfax, Virginia, Uncle, Ron Schmoldt, Cousin Aaron Schmoldt of South Beloit, Illinois, Joshua Montgomery of Glen Burnie, Maryland, and special friend Tony Silar of Burkesville Kentucky.

     He is survived by Brother William (Linsey) Groeling of Illinois, Niece Abby Jo, Nephew William Jr. of Polo Illinois, special friends Linda Conness of Loves Park, Illinois, Lynette Silar of Burkesville, Niece and Nephews, Kristina (Jacob) Countryman, and Teddy of Loves Park Illinois, Daniel Growling, Brandon (Sara) Groeling of Lanark, Illinois, aunt, Gail Schmoldt, Uncle Joseph Minnick, God Parents Paula (Mario) Fortunato, Gregg Lizer and Sister in Law, Peggy Groeling of Leaf River Illinois.

Todd was a participant of the men’s group at Centerpoint Church. He spent his days at Just Friends Adult Daycare playing checkers, cards, and his guitar. He loved fishing and spending time with family and friends, and the family dog Tinker Bell. He was a proud player in the Special Olympics with his team winning the state championship in 1994. He graduated from Auburn High in Rockford Illinois in 1996.  He will forever be in our hearts.

     A celebration of life was held on, Saturday May 6, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Anchor Point Church in Marrowbone, Kentucky.  Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
