Tim Richard Hicks Obituary

Mr. Timothy Richard “Tim” Hicks of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at his residence in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 72 years, 9 months, and 25 days. He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Saturday, September 19, 1953, the son of Welby Kay & Mildred Elizabeth (Lewis) Hicks. He was of the Methodist faith and member of the Parrish Chapel United Methodist Church. He worked as the Cumberland County Judge Executive for two terms and was the Administrator of Cumberland Valley Manor Nursing Home and Rehabilitation for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry Lee Hicks and Mark Hicks; nephew, Welby Lee Hicks.

He is survived by his wife, Pam (McLean) Hicks of Burkesville, Kentucky, whom he wed on Friday, August 3, 1973; son, Adam Richard Hicks and significant other Misty Schofield, of Burkesville, Kentucky; great-niece, Emma Hicks, of Burkesville, Kentucky, and a host of relatives on the Hicks & Lewis sides of the family, and friends who also survive.

The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Joe Summers and Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Burial was in the Parrish Chapel Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Ricky Melton, Keith Riddle, Richard Crouch, Duane Hall, Twyman Appleby, Mike Radford, and Greg Cary. Honorary Casket Bearers were J.V. Groce, Kay Appleby, Earl Branham, and Lanny Judd.
