Stephen Leslie Stokes

        Mr. Stephen Leslie Stokes of Burkesville passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at The Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, Kentucky having attained the age of 66 Years, 9 months & 9 days. He was born in Anniston, (Calhoun County) Alabama on Monday, December 1, 1958 the son of Bobby Gene & Barbara Ann (Benefield) Stokes. He served in the U.S. Air Force, having attained the rank of Staff Sgt. (E-5). He was a talented woodworker, loved fishing, dogs and was a fierce Alabama Fan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
        He is survived by his son, Kevin Stokes of Florida, siblings, Lynn Gilmette of Newport, North Carolina, Maribeth (& Dr. Mark) Shelton of Burkesville, Kentucky, Michael (& Brenda) Stokes of Nettleton, Mississippi, two grandchildren, several Nieces & Nephews, Special friend, Teresa Choate.
        The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 5:00 PM C.S.T. in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Shelton officiating.
