Mr. Sherman William Arms of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Cumberland Valley Mannor in Burkesville, Kentucky having attained the age of 84 years, 5 months, and 14 days. He was born on Monday, May 26, 1941, in Cumberland County, Kentucky, the son of William Martin & Grace S. (White) Arms. He was of the Church of Christ Faith, a member of the Marrowbone Church of Christ and worked as a self-employed farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Sue Arms, and brothers, Rondal Jerry Arms, and Roger Arms.
He is survived by his son, Michael (& Pam) Arms; step-children, Terry (& Lisa) Vibbert, Pam (& Larry) Flowers, all of Burkesville, Kentucky, Jennifer Dishman of Albany, Kentucky; brothers, David (& Vellas) Arms, Phillip (& Brenda) Arms; sister-in-law, Connie Arms; grandchildren, Heather (& Joe) Bow, Cody Adams, Clint (& Brandi) Adams; great-grandchildren, Hannah (& Charlie), Jason, Addison, Clay “Little Clint”, Carter, great-great-grandson, Memphis; special friend, Margaret Vibbert; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Casket bearers were Randy Knight, Greg Knight, Terry Vibbert, Clint Adams, Joe Bow, Jackson Starrett, And Greg Knight. Burial was in the Dutch Creek Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
