Ruby Glee (Short) Skipworth

Mrs. Ruby Glee (Short) Skipworth of Beech Grove, Indiana passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Rosegate Rehab in Indianapolis, Indiana having attained the age of 93 years 3 months, and 14 days. She was born in the Littrell community of Cumberland County, Kentucky on Monday, January 5, 1931, the daughter of George & Tessie (Shearls) Short. She was of the Christian faith, a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, and worked as a self employed beautician. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Etchel Esta Skipworth, who she wed on December 20, 1947, brothers Sammy Short, Hubert Short, Ray Short, and sisters, Pauline Blythe, and Dixie Spear.

She is survived by her children, Darell Skipworth of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mike (& Karen) Skipworth of Monrovia, Indiana, Randy (& Elaine) Skipworth of Indianapolis, Indiana, Debbie (& David) Patrick of Whiteland, Indiana, 9 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky, with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Casket bearers were Nathan Skipworth, Nick Skipworth, Larry Head, Ryan Head, Bradley Axson, and John Dietz. Burial was in the Murley Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.

Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville was honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
