Ruby Jean Thomas

Mrs. Ruby Jean (Davidson) Thomas of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at her residence in Cumberland County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 79 years, 6 months, and 8 days. She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Sunday, January 5, 1947, the daughter of Ruby & Dimple (Poindexter) Davidson. She was of the Christian faith, a member of the Burkesville United Methodist Church, and was a devout homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Thomas; brother, Ronald Davidson; sisters, Evelyn Cope and Pansy Dyer.

She is survived by her children, Sherry (& James) Cromwell of Indiana, Michelle (& Bart) Guenther of Kansas, Tina Thomas (& Chris Scott) of Burkesville, Kentucky; stepsons, Steve (& Christina) Thomas and Brock (& Donna) Thomas, both of Indiana; sister, Geneva Surrat of Burkesville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Ricky (& Jennifer) Gilbert, Nicole Cromwell, Quinten Cromwell, Ryan Guenther, Rachelle (& Eric) Solomon, Harley (& Malcolm) Guenther, Teygan Scott, Isacc Scott, Liam Scott; and 9 great-grandchildren.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. CST in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky. The family will receive friends Friday, July 17, 2026 beginning at 6:00 p.m. CST until the funeral hour on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
