Mr. Ricky Fay Strong of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021, at his residence, having attained the age of 64 years, 1 months, and 9 days. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on Thursday, June 6, 1957, the son of Carl Fay & Virginia (Ashlock) Strong. He was of Christian faith, member of the Ashlock Church of Christ, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a diesel mechanic for Pepsi Bottling Company.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Rickey Alan Strong, brother, Mickey Strong, uncle, Willie Van “Bee” Ashlock.
He is survived by his wife, Ardeen Rae (Westfall) Strong of Burkesville, Kentucky whom he wed on Saturday, November 8, 1986, children, Brian Joseph Strong of Burkesville, Kentucky, Rebecca Ann (& Jonathan) Sheets of Bargersville, Indiana, siblings, Connie (& Steve) Glaze of Indianapolis, Indiana, Danny (& Susie) Strong of New Castle, Indiana, Tammy (& Ever) Sarmiento of Plainfield, Indiana, grandchildren, Caleb, Kylie, Emma, Jacob.
The funeral will be conducted on Monday, July 19, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Benji Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. till the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ashlock Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky is honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
