    Rev. Lynn Edward Farlee of Auburn, Kentucky, a Cumberland County Native passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky having attained the age of 77 years, 2 months and 30 days. He was born in Glasgow (Barren County) Kentucky on Friday, November 1, 1946 the son of Joe Lynn & Mary (Shaw) Farlee Vibbert. He was a 1966 graduate of Cumberland County High School, attained his Associates Degree in Religion, and his Bachelors Degree in Human Service both from Lindsey Wilson College. He served his country honorably in the Army during the Viet Nam War, was A United Methodist Minister until his retirement, having pastured these churches during his ministry, Jones Chapel, Sulphur Wells, Liletown, Foundation, Stevensons Chapel, Stuarts Chapel, Peolia, Lees Chapel, Summershade, Pleasant Ridge, Picketts Chapel, Christie Chapel, Pleasant Hill, Sharon Grove, Providence, Pineville Methodist, Bethel, Hampton, Pleasureville, Pleasant Grove, Bethel & Flat Rock Methodist Churches. He enjoyed Fishing, knife collecting, dogs and guns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Son, Lynn Edward “Eddie” Farlee, Jr., brother, Marshall Eugene “Dump” Vibbert, Father-in-law & Mother-in-law, Roy & Grace (Norris) Wright.

     He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his passing, his wife Brenda June (Wright) Farlee whom he wed Saturday, December 14, 1968, his sons, James Adam (& Darra) Farlee of Russellville, Kentucky, Jordan Preston Farlee of Auburn, Kentucky, siblings, Roy Farlee, Kay (& Sue) Vibbert, Jay Vibbert all of Marrowbone, Ray (& Mary “Dot”) Vibbert of Albany, Kentucky, Sue Vibbert Theobald of Indiana, Grandchildren, Lynn Edward “Trey” Farlee, III, Kendra Farlee, McKayla Farlee, Brenden Farlee, Nate Farlee & Cathleen Farlee, Great-Grandchild, Hayley Stranger.

     The funeral Service was conducted on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville with Rev. Missy Deberry officiating. Casket bearers were Nate Farlee, Brenden Farlee, Trey Farlee, Joe Hardin, Jeremy Wright, and Dakota Moore. Burial was in the Dutch Creek Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville was honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
