Patty Thomas Baker

Patty (Thomas) Baker of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday September 10, 2019 at Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 88 years, 8 months and 20 days. She was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Sunday, December 21, 1930, the daughter of L.E. and Kathleen (Needham) Thomas. She was a member of the Burkesville First United Methodist Church, a seamstress for Sutton Shirt Corporation and a member of the Cumberland County Quilt Guild. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Lemuel Neil Baker of Burkesville, Kentucky, whom she married on Thursday, February 8, 1979, her sister, Neva Nell Keeton of Louisville, Kentucky, her nephews, David (and Kathy) Keeton, Mike (and Kathy) Mosby, her nieces, Patty Keeton (and Bob) Schnell, Kathleen Keeton (and Danny) Oechsli, Pam (and Rick) Wilson, her great-nephews and great-nieces, Jennifer, Julie, Kasey, Toby, Brandie and Robert. The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, September 12, 2019 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Wilson officiating. Scripture reading by her cousin, Kathy Flowers, Prayer and comments by her Niece, Kathleen Oechsli. Special singing and music by Kathy Mosby and Libby Mullinix. Burial was in the Marrowbone Cemetery in Marrowbone, Kentucky. Pallbearers were Bob Schell, Mike Mosby, Greg Smith, Wade Flowers, Todd Morgan and Ricky Spears. Honorary pallbearers were Truman Morgan, David Keeton, Terry Riley, Ralph Shannon, Mike Morgan, Randall Hurt and Demorris Baker. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Burkesville First United Methodist Church in Burkesville, Kentucky. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of all funeral arrangements.
