Pansy (Thacker) Barger Lee

Mrs. Pansy (Thacker) Barger Lee of Burkesville, Kentucky died Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 81 years, and 8 months. She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Tuesday, April 29. 1941, the daughter of Robert “Bob” and Bessie (Riddle) Thacker. She was a Christian woman, attended Rose of Sharon United Methodist Church, and a child care provider. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee, son, Robert Barger, granddaughter, Melissa Sells, siblings, Malba Thacker, Aline Riddle, Buddy Thacker, Billy Jo Thacker, two infant brothers, and an infant sister.

      She is survived by her children, Diane (& Johnny) Carter, Jimmy Barger, Cathey Davis, Alice Barger, Debra (Ricky) Spears, Anthony Barger all of Burkesville, Kentucky, half-sister Sally McKee of Louisville, Kentucky, half-brothers, David (& Lisa) Thacker of Burkesville, Kentucky, Mark Thacker of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, Jeremy, Nick, Jarred (& Sarah), Eugenia, Amber, Anthony, Nikki (& Jordan), Austin, Amy, Andrew, Olivia, great-grandchildren, Dustin, J.R., Addison, Jackson, Jacey, Bella, Joseph, Rylea, Braylea, Hadley, Caisie, along with other family members and many friends.

    The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Casket bearers were Nick Carter, Anthony Weiss, Austin Weiss, Andrew Weiss, Jonathan Thacker, Jarred Davis, and DaKota Vincent. Honorary casket bearers were Tommy Brown, Todd Edwards, and Brandon Thacker. Special singing was provided by Bro. Gary Cash. Burial was in the Perkins Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
