Norris Davis Smith

Mr. Norris Davis Smith of Dubre, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at his residence, having attained the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 21 days. He was born in the Ferris Fork Community of Metcalfe County, Kentucky, on Friday, February 25, 1949, the son of Ralph Norris & Dorothy Lorene “Rene” (Davis) Smith. He was a Christian, a 1969 graduate of Cumberland County High School, member of Cumberland Lodge #413 F.&A.M., a farmer and self employed truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Harris) Smith, whom he wed in December, 1986, of Dubre, Kentucky, children, Stephanie Lynn (& Mark) Elmore of Marrowbone, Kentucky, Chrystal Dawn (& Jamie) Hurt of Edmonton, Kentucky, sister, Wanda Faye (& Lenville) Piercy of Marrowbone, grandchildren, Tiffanie Michelle (& Casey) Staley of Burkesville, Kentucky, Dakota (& Amanda) Campbell of Fountain Run, Kentucky, Dustin Anthony Elmore of Marrowbone, Kentucky, Matthew Austin (& Kayla) Trent of Greensburg, Kentucky, Jacob Ray Trent of Edmonton, Kentucky, great-grandchildren, Makenna Jewell Staley, Clara Lynn Staley, Amara Estelle Campbell, Harper Michelle Staley.

The funeral service for Mr. Norris Davis Smith was conducted on Sunday, February 20, 2022 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Casket Bearers were Jamie Hurt, Matt Trent, Jacob Trent, Dustin Elmore, Dakota Campbell, Casey Staley, Danny Cooper, Jeff Cyphers, Tracy Burden and Nile Smith. An Honorary Casket Bearer was Gavin Hurt. Burial was in the Creasy Cemetery in Metcalfe County, Kentucky.

Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of the local arrangements.
