Norman Leon Neal

Mr. Norman Leon Neal of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 76 years, 2 months, and 26 days. He was born on Thursday, April 8, 1948 in Burkesville, Kentucky, the son of James Chester & Mary (Harris) Neal. He was of the Christian faith and a roofing contractor for many years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Morgan, and Barbara Thurman.

He is survived by his son, Daniel Neal, siblings, Helen (& Junior) Rhoton all of Indianapolis, Indiana, James Robert “Bobby” Neal of Burkesville, Kentucky, Shirel Neal of Edmonton, Kentucky, and Kimberly Severe of Burkesville, Kentucky.

The funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Burial was in the Gaines Hill Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Jeremy Severe, Daniel Neal, Eddie Secula, Waylon Bradshaw, Payton Cleary, Donald Key, and honorary casket bearer Bobby Severe.   

Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville was honored to be in charge of all arrangements.
