Nora (Sherer) Thurman

Mrs. Nora Agnes (Sherer) Thurman of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at her residence in Burkesville, having attained the age of 61 years and 10 days. She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on Sunday, September 11, 1960, the daughter of Otis Odel and Ella Mae (Murray) Sherer. She was a CNA for Cumberland Valley Manor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Elmer Sherer, uncle, Roy Ragel, and aunt, Nora Kathleen York.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Thurman of Burkesville, Kentucky, brothers, Randy (& Sharon) Sherer of Plainfield, Indiana, Russell Sherer (& Patty Monday) of Glasgow, Kentucky, nieces, Tabitha Lee Ann Sherer and Sara Thurman, both of Glasgow, Kentucky, and nephew, Nicholas Sherer of Plainfield, Indiana.

The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Nickie Richards officiating. Burial was in the Liberty Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Randy Sherer, Nicholas Sherer, Tony Thurman, Randy Likens, Bobby Leblanc, and Derric Williams. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
