Michael Simpson

Michael "Mike" Joe Simpson, 74, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on February 28, 1950 to the late Roy Ben and Edna Simpson. He worked at Bremner Biscuit as a baker for many years. Mike was a huge Uk fan, a Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan, and loved NASCAR. He was an avid pool player playing in the Alpha Pool League out of New View Bar and Grill in Outer Loop Plaza. Mike was always the life of the party and he wished everyone he talked with to "Have a good day!"

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerry Simpson, Jimmy Young, Terry Young; and nephew, Joey Young.

Left to cherish Mike's memory is his daughter, Sarah Garner (Corey); long time companion, Shirley Emerson; sister, Susan Walker (Tommy); brothers, Charles Young, Roy Simpson Jr.; nieces and nephews, Penny Mills, Michelle Simpson, Christina Young, Joseph Young, Jordan Walker, Aaron Young, Jessica Fenwick; best friend, Jim "Crazy" Ferrell; several loving extended family members and great friends.

Visitation for Mike will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Highway, 40219. Private burial will be in Dutch Creek Cemetery on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
