Mark Allen Banter

Mr. Mark Allen Banter of Burkesville, Kentucky, formally of Schererville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at his residence in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 58 years and 26 days. He was born on Friday, October 14, 1966 in East Chicago, Indiana, the son of Victor & Marjorie (Mihalich) Banter. He was of the Christian faith, and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Mark was a master nutritionist, a champion body builder, a health fitness instructor, and a Health Club Owner. He is preceded in death by his nephew, Zachary Alvarado.

He is survived by his parents, Victor & Marjorie (Mihalich) Banter of Burkesville, Kentucky, daughter, Caitlin Banter of Lafayette, Indiana, siblings, David (& Alex) Banter of Naples, Florida, Paul (& Renae) Banter of Crown Point, Indiana, Lisa (& Scott) DeBoer of Orlando, Florida, Matthew Banter of Merrillville, Indiana, Ruth Banter of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Joseph (& Melissa) Banter, Thomas (& Jeanette) Banter, all of Crown Point, Indiana, Mary (& Lucas) Muse of Auburndale, Florida, grandson, Kingston, and twenty-five nieces & nephews.

The Funeral Service was conducted on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Burkesville, Kentucky with Father Joel Rodgers officiating. Burial was in the Banter Family Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to the family or to the Mark Banter Memorial Fund, to help defray funeral expenses.
