Marie (Wright) Capps

Mrs. Elcie Marie (Wright) Capps, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky having attained the age of 88 years, 11 month & 17 days. She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Tuesday, July 12, 1932 the daughter of Charlie and Nora (Groce) Wright. She was of the Christian faith, member of Leslie United Methodist Church, and a seamstress for Bob Evans Mfg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Capps, whom she wed in January 1947, sister, Delcie Capps, sister-in-law, Anna Marie Wright.

     She is survived by her children, Stephen (& Rebecca) Capps of Burkesville, Kentucky, Sandra (& Greg) Chasteen of Scottsburg, Indiana Gary (& Carrie) Capps of Louisville, Kentucky, siblings, J.D. Wright of Burkesville, Kentucky, Frank (& Randa) Wright of Burkesville, Kentucky, David (& Beverly) Wright of Bowing Green, Kentucky, grandchildren, Bart (& Julie) Capps, Ashley Cress, Coty, great-grandchildren, James Barton Capps, Clay Bartlee Capps, Arthur Cress, special cousin and best friend, Maedell Daniel of Burkesville, Kentucky.

     The Funeral was conducted on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Shelley, and Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Casket bearers were Bart Capps, James Capps, Clay Capps, Tyler Wright, David Wright, J.R. Thacker. Burial was in the Dutch Creek Cemetery. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
