Marian (Roberts) Scott Cawthorn

Mrs. Marian (Roberts) Scott Cawthorn, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Bradford Square Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Frankfort, Kentucky, having attained the age of 92 years, 3 months, and 19 days. She was born on Sunday, July 1, 1934, in Gallatin, Tennessee, the daughter of Wallace P. and Mary Helen (McComas) Roberts. Marian attended the First Christian Church in Burkesville, Kentucky. She was a retired teacher, from the Metcalf County School System. Marian enjoyed reading, cooking, crafting, flowers, and traveling. She was also a skilled seamstress. She had previously resided in Cave City, Kentucky before making her home Frankfort in December of 2022. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands; Carl G. Scott whom she wed on Saturday, July 22,1950, and Pat Cawthorn, sister, Marcella R. Anderson.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl S. (& Phillip) Morgan of Frankfort, Kentucky; grandchildren, Aaron Morgan and Karen (& Todd) Brangers; great-grandchildren, Anna Claire Morgan and Ethan Morgan; along with other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Shelley officiating. Burial will follow in the Grider Memorial Cemetery, Cumberland County, Kentucky.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 23, 2026, after 9:30 A.M. until the funeral hour.
