Margie Jenell (Neathery) Stockton

Mrs. Margie Jenell (Neathery) Stockton of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee having attained the age of 88 years, 2 months, and 1 day. She was born in the Bakerton Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky, on Friday, November 17, 1933, the daughter of Samuel Paul and Nellie Mack (Glidewell) Neathery. She was of the Methodist faith and member of the Leslie Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilson Neathery, Paul Neathery, sister, Mildred Haner.

She is survived by husband, Richard “Dick” Stockton of Burkesville, Kentucky, whom she wed on Saturday, August 12, 1950, children, John Richard (& Brenda) Stockton of Tampa, Florida, Vikki (& Tommy) Garmon of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Susan (& Patrick) Pitcock of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Lori (& Scott) Rigsby of Campbellsville, Kentucky, siblings, Jimmy Neathery of Burkesville, Kentucky, Charles Neathery of Louisville, Kentucky, grandchildren, John Curtis Stockton, Cayce Davenport, Jason Garmon, Sean Garmon, Brian Harmon, Kevin Harmon, Mark Rigsby, Maggie Rigsby, Autumn Rigsby, step-grandchildren, Matt Rigsby, Kelsey Rigsby, great-grandchildren, Lash Davenport, Emmett Davenport, Cole Stockton, Kharli Stockton, Cruz Stockton, Samanatha Garmon, Logan Garmon, Bodhi Garmon, Lily Harmon, Henry Harmon, step-greatgrandchildren, Kiah Hill, Kaiden Hill, Krue Rigsby.

The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Leslie Methodist Church with Bro. Sam Appleby officiating. Casket bearers were Brian Harmon, Kevin Harmon, Jason Garmon, John Curtis Stockton, Mark Rigsby, and Tommy Garmon. Burial was in the Stockton Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
