Lori Elizabeth Wood

Mrs. Lori Elizabeth (Bean) Wood of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at her residence in Cumberland County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 50 years, 11 months and 7 days. She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky, on Saturday, October 12, 1974, the daughter of James & Martha (Spears) Bean. She was of the Christian Faith, a member of the Burkesville Baptist Church, and worked as the store manager for the IGA in Albany, Kentucky for many years. She was preceded in death by her fathers, James Bean, and Maurice Clifton “Little Doc” Keen Jr.

She is survived by her mother, Martha (Spears) Keen, husband, Mattthew Wood, who she wed on November 22, 1998, children, Dylan (& Nicole) Wood of Albany, Kentucky, Alex Wood of Burkesville, Kentucky, Noah Wood (& Lillee Thurman) of Burkesville, Kentucky, siblings, Melissa Anderson of Burkesville, Kentucky, Carla (& Jamie) Cleary of Albany, Kentucky, granddaughter, Raelyn Elizabeth, a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Cooksey, and Dr. Mark Shelton officiating. Burial was in the Perkins Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Casey Blythe, Brian Scott, Garrett Jones, Gage Jones, Julian Hernandez, and Mason Rich. Honorary casket bearers were Evan Blythe, Connor Webb, and Joe Thurman.
