Joseph Dudley "Joey" Gray Sr., 64, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Rehab at Signature Healthcare of Glasgow, Kentucky having attained the age of 64 Years, 11 months & 29 days. He was born on Sunday, September 18, 1960, in Burkesville, Kentucky, to his loving parents, Dudley & Becky (Keen) Gray. 

Joey was a proud military veteran who dedicated his life to serving his country. While in the army, he attained many associate degrees and worked as a civil engineer and heavy equipment operator. After retiring from the military, he continued his passion for working with heavy equipment and farming. He had a deep love for the great outdoors, finding immense joy in hunting, fishing, and exploring the country. His love for nature was a defining aspect of his life.

Joey was a wonderful, kind man with a heart of gold, always ready to help anyone in need. He was a loving son who cherished his parents and siblings very much. His family was his greatest treasure, and he was the best dad and "Pa Joey" to his two children, and his three beloved grandchildren. He loved his kids and grandkids with all his heart and soul and was a loving father and a devoted Pa who cherished his children and grandchildren more than anything. Joey's kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Becky Gray, nephew, Taylor Gray, and many other friends and relatives. He is survived by his father, Dudley Gray of Burkesville, Kentucky, Daughter Tenisha Gray (&George) of Horse Cave, Kentucky, Son Joseph Gray II (&Jennifer) of Burkesville, Kentucky, Mother of his children, Sharee Fields of Edmonton, Kentucky, siblings, Eric Gray (&Sherri) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Donna Laha (&Keith) of Louisville, Kentucky, John David Gray of Burkesville, Kentucky, Sandra Endris (&Mike) of New Albany, Indiana, Laura Abernathy (&Randy) of Glasgow, Kentucky, special grandchildren Shaylee Franklin, Zoe Gray, Ivory Soukup and several nieces, nephews, cousins and two special caregivers, Jennifer and Julie also survive.

The funeral service was be conducted on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM C.S.T. in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Shelley officiating. Military Honors were provided by the Monticello D.A.V. Chapter #105. Honorary Casket Bearers were Jon Gray, Jake Laha, Sam Laha, Daniel Gray, Josh Norris, Tanner Abernathy, Bradley Endris, and Mark McPherson
