John “Tommy” Elmore

Mr. John Thomas “Tommy” Elmore of Marrowbone, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at the Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Kentucky, having attained the age of 67 years, 10 months & 1 day. He was born on Friday, July 5, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of John Edward & Elvie Coreen (Fenwick) Elmore. He was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed a good cup of coffee, watching classic television shows, and the pleasure of a smoke. Above all, he was a gentle soul. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his brothers, Richard “Red” Elmore of Louisville, Kentucky, Mark (& Stephanie) Elmore of Marrowbone, Kentucky, sisters, Theresa Harris (& Anthony Delles) of Issaquah, Washington, Lisa (& Brian) McGuire of Pendleton, Kentucky, Pat Pike of Louisville, Kentucky, several nieces & nephews, special great-nieces, Makenna, Clara & Harper.

The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of the Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Meador officiating. Burial was in the Franklin-Davis Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Mike Cody, Greg Vibbert, Bill Curtis, Brian McGurie, Jimmy Lyons, and Tony Delles. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to help pay for funeral expenses, c/o Norris-New Funeral Home.
