Jessaphine (McKinney) Donan

Mrs. Jessaphine (McKinney) Donan, of Burkesville, Kentucky, formerly of Breeding, Kentucky, passed away at Cumberland County Hospital, in Burkesville, Kentucky on Sunday, October 29, 2023 having attained the age of 88 years and 26 days. Jessaphine was born in Breeding, Kentucky on Friday, October 4, 1935 to Elroy "ER" McKinney and Vergie Mae (Hawkins) McKinney.  She was a loving homemaker, a Christian, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit#379 of Eilizabeth, Indiana, an avid researcher of family history and she attended Graceland Baptist Church. Jessaphine was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph Donan, whom she wed on Thursday, December 28, 1972 in Robertson, Tennessee, siblings, Mary Lene Lawrence, Gertie Hamilton, Virginia England, Josephine Shearer, Johnnie McKinney, and 10 half-siblings.

She is survived by her daughter Roberta (& Bill) Dooley of Elizabeth, Indiana, brother, Fallis Dean McKinney of Glasgow, Kentucky, grandchildren, Bradley (& Jessica) Briles, Brent (& Tisha) Briles, great-grandchildren, Donan Briles, Cohen Briles, and Jessie Briles.  

A graveside service will be held on Saturday November 4, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Estes – Mckinney Cemetery in Adair County , Kentucky, with burial to follow.
