Janice (Dyer) Stalcup

Mrs. Janice (Dyer) Stalcup of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 85 years, 1 month, and 25 days. She was born on Saturday, October 28, 1939 in Burkesville, Kentucky, the daughter of Travis & Lyda (Cloyd) Dyer. She was of the Christian faith, a member of the Marrowbone Church of Christ, and was a loving homemaker. In her free time, Janice was on the Cumberland County Bluegrass Committee, and a member of the Cumberland County Quilt Guild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Stalcup, whom she wed on April 29, 1955, son, Anthony Stalcup, daughter-in-law, Shelia Stalcup, and brothers, William Edward Dyer, Reldon Cloyd Dyer and James Wesley Dyer.

She is survived by her children, Jackie (& Gleta) Stalcup, Vickie (& David) Moons, Edward Stalcup, J.R. (& Patricia) Stalcup, Greg (& Susan) Stalcup, Kathy (& Bobby) Johnson, Carolyn (& Anthony) Smith, Paul (& Melissa) Stalcup, Daniel (& Kelly) Stalcup, sisters-in-law, Judy Dyer, Nina McIver and Betty Wisdom, grandchildren, Kevin (& Fran), Tabatha (& Gerard) , Marybeth (& Michael), John Michael (& Bridget), Sawyer (& Victoria), Ansley (& Cole), Patrick (& Mikaela), Cameron, Kimberly (& Chris), Eryn (& Tim) Ethan (& Danielle), Ella, Gabe (& Katie), Keylee (& Lance), Kaden, Annabelle, Alana, Asa, great-grandchildren, Kaleb (& Halley), Brendan (& Ashley), Blake, Kutter, Julia, Collin, Canaan, Caislee, Sterling, Sonny, Emma, Kyson, Anson, Georgia, Graham, Emmitt, Claira, Abel, and Henry,and great-great- grandchildren, Adrian, Benjamin, and Lizzie.

The funeral service was conducted on Friday December 27, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. in the Memory Chapel of the Norris-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Carley Conner and Bro. Sam Dick officiating. Burial was in the Mudcamp Cemetery in Cumberland County Kentucky. Casket bearers were Kevin Stalcup, John Michael Stalcup, Sawyer Stalcup, Cameron Stalcup, Patrick Stalcup, Gabe Stalcup, and Kaden Stalcup.
