Howard Array Sells

Mr. Howard Sells of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 91 years, 7 months, and 18 days. He was born in Hobart, Kentucky on Tuesday, February 14, 1928, the son of Eddie Marshall and Eunice Mae (Wright) Sell. He was of Church of Christ faith, a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ, a U. S. Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion and the D. A. V., and a Retiree from Chrysler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Mae (Scott) Sells, whom he wed on Saturday, September 9, 1950, sisters, Noxie Riddle, Imogene Sells, Alice Hoots, Olene Wallace, Lorena Finley, and brothers, Odell Sells, Marvin Sells, and Herman Sells. He is survived by his daughters, Vicki Sells of Sewanee, Tennessee, Lynn (and Glen) Lee of Jamestown, Tennessee, grandchildren, Elyas (and Meaghan Stiman) Bakhtiari of Williamsburg Virginia, Krystal (and Barry) Scott of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, Mariam Bakhtiari of Nashville, Tennessee, Brittany Lee Rose of Jamestown, Tennessee, step-grandchildren, Kendall Lee, Adam (and Amanda) Lee, great-grandchildren, Seth Michael Rose, Ethan Lane Scott, Dylan Howard Scott, Ryan Houston Scott, Harper Lynn Rose, Kamran Stiman Bakhtiari, step-great-grandchildren, James Lee, Khoen Lee, several nieces and nephews. The Funeral service was conducted on Saturday, October 5, 2019, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Frankie Sells officiating. Memories were shared by Nolan Finley, Jeff Sells, and Elyas Bakhtiari. Burial was in the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky with Military Honors given by Glasgow Chapter 20-D.A.V. honor guard. Casket Bearers were Barry Scott, Russell Sells, Mark Rush, Adam Lee, Frankie Sells, and Glen Lee. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
