Hilda Smith England

Mrs. Hilda Joyce (Smith) England of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky having attained the age of 71 years, 4 months, and 8 days. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on Thursday, June 24, 1954, the daughter of William Milton & Hallie Evelyn (Keith) Smith. She was of the Christian faith, a devoted homemaker,  and cherished her time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Larry England, whom she wed on Saturday, October 2, 1971, and he passed away on Friday November 17, 1989, and sister, Sherry Long.

She is survived by her children, Larry (& Amanda) England of Burkesville, Kentucky, Sheena (& Claude) Porter of Anderson, Indiana, siblings, William Smith Jr. (& Joan) of Monticello, Kentucky, Judy (& Judd) Gentry of Glasgow, Kentucky, grandchildren, Kayla Kerr, Aiden Porter, Lincoln England, Mackenzie Porter, Logan Porter, Kennedy England, Truman England, Fox Porter, and August Porter.

The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 2:30 pm in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Nickie Richards officiating. Burial was in the Burkesville Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Lincoln England, Casey Long, Aiden Porter, Logan Porter, Larry D. Anderson, Ryan Walker, and David Mcintyre.

Norris-New Funeral Home of Burkesville, Kentucky, was honored to be in charge of all arrangements.
