Georgia (Arms) Dyer

Mrs. Georgia Katherine (Arms) Dyer of Burkesville, Kentucky, widow of John L. Dyer, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky, having attained the age of 83 years, 6 months, and 3 days. She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Sunday, February 14, 1943, the daughter of Ervin and Ruby (Wright) Arms. She was a Christian, a homemaker, and a farmer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Dyer, whom she wed on Saturday, January 25, 1975, brothers, Edward Arms, Bobby Arms, and her sister-in-law, Barbara (Morrison) Arms. She is survived by her children, James L. (& April) Dyer of Glasgow, Kentucky, Diane Beaty (& special friend, Daniel Holland) of Burkesville, Kentucky, her sisters, Shirley (& Eddie) Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana, Betty Arms of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Ashley (& Brad) Lowe, Jacob (& Kendell) Coop, great-grandchildren, Hunter Lowe and Laney Coop. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. CST in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home Bro. John Prater and Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Special singing will be shared by Kathy Mosby. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 22, 2026 after 11:00 A.M. CST until the funeral hour. Burial will follow in the Dutch Creek Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, contributions appreciated to the Georgia Katherine (Arms) Dyer Memorial Fund c/o Norris-New Funeral Home.
