Gary Edward Norris

Mr. Gary Edward Norris of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Albany, Kentucky passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, in Louisville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 75 years, 3 months, and 19 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Saturday, June 29, 1946, the son of Herbert and Vernetta (Goble) Norris. He was Christian, a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War, worked for Huber Tire as a sales representative, and was a Kentucky Colonel.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Father-in-law & Mother-in-law, Conrad & Zelma (Davis) Higginbotham, brother-in-law, Bennie James Higginbotham.

He is survived by his wife, Ronda (Higginbotham) Norris of Louisville, Kentucky, whom he wed on Thursday, August 12, 1965, children, Eddie (& Karen) Norris of Burkesville, Kentucky, James (& Helen) Norris of Louisville, Kentucky, siblings, Lanny Norris of Albany, Kentucky, Barb Delk of Franklin, Kentucky, Lyle (& Linda) Norris of Albany, Kentucky, Joe Buck of Byrdstown, Tennessee, Frankie (Anna) Norris of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, Stephanie Marie (& T.J.) Shelton, Brittany Danielle Norris, Lauren Jenelle (& Daniel) Duvall, Brianna Marie Norris (& Stefan Jamison).

The funeral service for Mr. Norris was conducted on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 12:00 noon in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Sister Darlene Blakely, Brother Gary Cash, Brother Steve Carney officiating. Casket bearers were T.J. Shelton, Daniel Duvall, Stefan Jamison, Tracy Davis, Mike Engleman, Greg Johnson. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to the Smith Grove Cemetery Fund, C/O Kathy Mosby, 110 Mosby Dr. Burkesville, Ky. 42717, in his memory. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
