Mrs. Estaline Dane (Long) Rose of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky having attained the age of 79 years, 8 months, and 2 days. She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on July 19, 1945 the daughter of Eular Alexander & Nannie (Skipworth) Long. Dane was of the Christian faith; a member of Jones Chapel Methodist Church, and a member of the Cumberland County Book Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Russell Rose, whom she wed on November, 17, 1962, son, Charles Alexander “Chuck” Rose, sister, Betty (Long) Cooksey, and great nephew, Chris Claywell.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Gayle (& Phil) Rose of Bullitt County, Kentucky, Lori Lea (& Robert) Spears of Burkesville, Kentucky, Susan Danette (& Roger) Rose of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, brother, Randall Ralph (& Mary) Long of Enterprise, Alabama, grandchildren, Leanna Rose (& Justin) Weyer, Kurtis Austin (& Cherish) Spears, Rylea Beth Spears, Sean-Eric (& Charlotte) Spears, special grandchildren, Aaron Pugh, Kayla Chapman, great-grandchildren, Aurora Mae Spears, Lawson Crew Weyer, several nieces, nephews, family and many friends.
The funeral service was conducted on Monday, March 24, 2025 in the Memory Chapel of the Norris-New Funeral Home with Darrell Rose and Heyward Adams officiating. . Casket Bearers were Sean-Eric Spears, Patrick Collins, Ty Staley, Kurtis Spears, Craig Scott, Denton Walker and Randall Long. Honorary Casket Bearer was Ralph Long. Burial was in the Scott Family Cemetery in the Garrett Creek Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, contribution appreciated to the Scott Family Cemetery in the Garrett Creek Community.
Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville was honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
