Mr. Gene Willis of the Mud Camp Rd. in Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at his home having attained the age of 70 years, 7 months and 4 days. He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Sunday, December 28, 1952 the son of Richard Willis and Francis (Spears) Willis. He was a farmer, truck driver, and a Christian.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Long, and Brother, Charles Willis
He is survived by his wife, Alice Willis, whom he wed on Saturday, November 15, 1980, children Anthony (& Tasha) Willis of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Helen Brown (& Corey Watson) of Celina, Tennessee, and Melissa Flowers of Burkesville, Kentucky, brother, Floyd (& Juanita) Willis of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Bryan (& Kelsey) Willis, Dusty (& Taylor) Hickman, Lexus Hickman, Bailey (& Autumn) Willis, Isaac (& Amanda) Hickman, Logan (& Mackenzie) Watson, Laynee (& Lukas) Reagan, Linkoln Watson, Garrett Flowers, Bryson Willis, Lynlee Flowers, Jace Willis, Emma Willis, Leah Willis, and five great grand-children, as well as a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Dana Coverstone, Bro. Ronnie Pitcock, and Bro Raymond Castillo officiating. The family received friends at Norris New Funeral Home after 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023 and will continue till the funeral hour. Casket Bearers were, Joe Hurt, Jeffery Cyphers, Dusty Hickman, Bryan Willis, Bailey Willis & Isaac Hickman. Honorary Casket Bearers were, Bryson Willis, Garrett Flowers, Logan Watson, Linkoln Watson, Troy Gene Hurt, Corey Watson, & Norman Branham. Burial was at the Mud Camp Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
