Donna Jean Elliott

Miss Donna Jean Elliott of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 55 years, 7 months, and 6 days. She was born in Albany (Clinton County), Kentucky on Saturday, March 14, 1964, the daughter of Otis Keith and Patty Nell (Lawson) Elliott. She was of Pentecostal faith, a member of Church of our Lord Jesus Christ, graduated Cumberland County High School (Class of 1982), Western Kentucky University Nursing School, and was a registered nurse for more than 20 years having worked at Cumberland County Hospital, Greenview Hospital, Cumberland Valley Manor, Summitt Manor, T.J. Samson Hospital, Pickett County Care and Rehab, and Family Home Health. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandmother, Audrey Lee Lawson, Paternal Grandparents, Tyler and Leda (Maupin) Elliott, sisters, Akra Elliott Wilburn and Audrey Elliott Tooley, and nieces, Jessica Elliott and Damitra Tooley. She is survived by her mother, Patty Nell (Lawson) Elliott of Burkesville, Kentucky, daughters, Jasmine Shanell Elliott (and Seth Steele) of Burkesville, Kentucky, and Jaelyn Celeste Staley of Bowling Green, Kentucky, sister, Angela Denise "Angie" (and Ricky) Hamilton of Burkesville, Kentucky, brother, Edsel Keith Elliott of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandson, Tripton Carter Steele of Burkesville, Kentucky, nieces and nephews, Nathan Wilburn, Colletta Espinosa, Adrienne Jackson, Ricky Tooley, Jr., Camitra "Sissy" Connor, Jory Elliott, Patrick Hamilton, Paige Gibson, Dakota Elliott, Devon Elliott, and Aubrey Elliott, several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. The Funeral service was conducted on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bishop Leon Link and Sister Sandra Pace officiating. Remarks were made by several visiting ministers. Special singing was by Shelia Wilburn. Special music was by Sister Fannie Elliott Pace. Burial was in the Burkesville Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were R.D. Tooley, Nathan Wilburn, Patrick Hamilton, Michael Connor, Jory Elliott and Dakota Elliott. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
