Mrs. Christy Renee (Hancock) Sharp, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, Kentucky having attained the age of 54 years, 1 month, & 9 days. She was born on Monday, July 15, 1968, in Crossville, Tennessee, the daughter of Fred and Pat (Norris) Hancock. She was a member of The Spears Chapel Church, and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mack and Dimple Norris, uncle, Clay Forsyth, aunt, Mary Della Jernigan, cousin, Alex Hamilton.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Jackson Sharp Jr. of Burkesville, Kentucky, sons, Matthew (& Tricia) Sharp, Patrick Sharp both of Burkesville, Kentucky, bonus daughter, Jordan Garner, siblings, Gayle (& Phil) Anderson of Crossville, Tennessee, Heather (& Donnie) Hazel of Crossville, Tennessee, Sylvia Pruitt of Burkesville, Kentucky, Jason (& Jackie) Hancock of Crossville, Tennessee, Fred Hancock of West Virginia, grandchildren, Jayden, Jesley, James, Theo all of Burkesville, Kentucky, aunt, Janice (& Don) Green of Crossville, Tennessee, mother-in-law, Evelyn Sharp of Burkesville, Kentucky, nieces and nephews, Chasity (& Nick) Bohannon, Brylee, Jack, Alley Hale, Ashley Hale, Katherine Pinnick, Sasha Anderson, Austin Hamilton, Hannah Pruitt, Addie Pruitt, Olivia Pruitt, special friends, Mike (& Pam) Johns.
The funeral service was conducted on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Gary Cash officiating and eulogy by Brad Pruitt. Casket bearers were Brad Pruitt, Chad Pruitt, Jason Handcock, Brian Garner, Matthew Sharp, and Patrick Sharp. Burial was in the Perkins Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. In Lieu of flowers donations are suggested to help pay for final expenses and may be left at the funeral home.
