Mr. Brian Lee Franklin of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky having attained the age of 44 years, 10 months and 29 days. He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Tuesday, March 13, 1979, the son of Mona Elaine (Pennington) Kerr, & Junior Franklin and James Kerr. He was of the Nazarene faith, a member of Center Point Church, and worked as a Lineman for A&C Communications. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marvin & Emogene Franklin, maternal grandfathers, Virgil Pennington, and Jackie Lee Kerr, and Granny Loraine Short Kerr.
He is survived by his parents, Elaine (Pennington) Kerr & Junior Franklin and James Kerr, maternal grandmother, Mona Kerr of Burkesville, Kentucky, wife, Melissa Franklin of Burkesville, Kentucky, children, Shaylee Marie Franklin, Kaylen Lorine Franklin, Lillee Michele Thurman, and Lane Austin Franklin, all of Burkesville, Kentucky, siblings, Bradley Kerr, and Natalie Kerr, both of Burkesville, Kentucky, Venessa Bishop of Frankfort, Indiana, and Jessica Mann of Whitestown, Indiana, niece, Shelby Kerr, nephew, Patrick Kerr, a host of nieces & nephews, and other relatives & friends.
The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky, with Bro. Jeff Thompson, Bro. Terry Shelley and Bro. Dennis Sells officiating. Burial was in the Shorts Chapel Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Pallbearers were, Helden Adams, Greg Moons, Seth Steele, Trevor Owsley, Jamie Allen, Chris Watson, and John Morgan. Honorary Pallbearers were Dustin Brockman, Bryan Morgan, Tucker Adams, Bradley Kerr, Birdy Pruitt. Rob Kelley, Curtis Thompson, Cameron Owsley, Heather Sommer, Larry Johnson, Patrick Collins.
