Mrs. Brenda Carol (Taylor) Watson of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky, having attained the age of 79 years, 2 months, and 16 days. She was born on Saturday, February 1, 1947, in Burkesville, Kentucky, the daughter of Paul & Nellie “Nell” (Ward) Taylor. She was of the Christian faith and was a homemaker, dedicating her life to caring for her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Taylor, sisters, Janice Estes Ballou and Jean Thurman.
She is survived by her husband, Don Keen Watson of Glasgow, Kentucky, whom she wed on May 2, 1964; children, Don Keen Watson Jr. (& Cynthia) of Glasgow, Kentucky, Shan (& Geanetta) Watson of Burkesville, Kentucky; siblings, Linda Sue (& Gary) Garner of Louisville, Kentucky, Gary Taylor of Danville, Kentucky, Debbie (& Joe) Mayes of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Emily (& Louie) Saltsman, Dakota (& Brooklyn) Harlow, Sarah Watson; great-grandchildren, Khloe Saltsman, Kade Saltsman, Austin Harlow, Colter Harlow; special caregivers, Leisa Minton, and Tammie Stamps.
The funeral service was conducted on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Nickie Richards officiating. Burial was in the Christian Chapel Cemetery, in Cumberland County Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Shan Watson, Dakota Harlow, Landon Bunch, Louie Saltsman, Stevie Estes, and Jacob Fields. Honorary Casket Bearer was Jimmy White.
