Bobby Lee Davidson

Mr. Bobby Lee Davidson of the Chestnut Grove Community in Cumberland County, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville having attained the age of 81 years, 10 months & 8 days. He was born in the Slate Fork Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky on Friday, April 30, 1943 the son of Bedford “Dude” & Nancy Vick (Holman) Davidson. He was a kind Christian man, a member of Chestnut Grove Church, was a farmer, worked at Bob Evans in Burkesville, and The Dale Hollow State Park. He loved his cows, farming, and being outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Patricia (Flowers) Davidson, Siblings, Bethine Carter, Marie Brake, Roxie Simpson, Mary Lee, Sue Wilson, Russell Davidson, Edward Davidson, Howard Davidson & Arnold Davidson.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice (Groce) Davidson, whom he wed on Saturday, May 8, 1965, children, Bobby Joe Davidson of Burkesville, Kentucky, Anna Marie Davidson (& James) Thompson of Burkesville, Kentucky, sister, Betty (& Marshall) Ferree of New Castle, Indiana, grandchildren, Jaime (& Don) Griffin, Sarah Thompson (& Daniel McMillon), Amanda Ziegler, James Curtis (& Chelsea) Thompson, Lucas Thompson, great-grandchildren, Dustin (& Brittanie) Cooper, Danielle Cooper, Emma Thompson, and great-great-grandchild, Cole Cooper.

The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of the Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Davidson officiating. Burial was in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Dustion Cooper, John Anderson, Phillip Davidson, Andy Davidson, Richard Davidson, Wayne Watkins, P.J. Davidson, and Jonathan Davidson. Honorary casket bearers were Kenny Vaughn, Larry Garner, Allen Duvall, Gary Speck, Jenny Boils, Larry Lee, Rex Brake, James Davidson, Wayne Davidson, Ethel Spears, Eddie Philpot, and Randall Brake. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to the Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 1890, or the Chestnut Grove Cemetery Fund.
