Billy Wayne Brown

Mr. Billy Wayne Brown, of the Whites Bottom Community in Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky having attained the age of 76 years, 4 months & 22 days. He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Sunday, August 18, 1946 the son of  Jimmy and Madie (Sharp) Brown. He was a machinist for Bridgeport Brass, a Christian, and attended The  Burkesville Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Short and an infant brother, Douglas Lynn Brown.

     He is survived by his wife, Linda (Wright) Brown of Burkesville, Kentucky, whom he wed on Tuesday, December 24, 1968, his children, Rob (& Malou) Brown of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Chris (& Tracy) Brown of Martinsville, Indiana, his brother, Kenny (& Betty) Brown of Burkesville, grandchildren, Mason, Gabi, Sasha and Clayton, nieces and nephews, Carla Brown Dubree, Christy (Stockton) Klipp, Jeff Short, David Brown, Ben Sells, Chad Garner, Brad Stockton, Corey Garner, John Micah Sells and Brandon Garner, a large number of other family members and friends also survive.

     The Funeral service was conducted on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. Music was led by Bro. Keith Cooper with congregational singing. Casket bearers were Jeff Short, David Brown, Chad Garner, Ben Sells, John Micah Sells, Corey Garner, Brandon Garner, Mason Brown, and Brad Stockton. Burial was in the Stalcup Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the Local WE CARE Organization. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
