Mrs. Betty Jean (Jones) Watson of Burkesville, (Peytonsburg Community) Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the Cumberland County Hospital having attained the age of 71 years, 2 months & 22 days. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on Sunday, December 24, 1950 the daughter of Nicholas & Susie Athelene (Key) Jones. She was a member of the Judio Church of Christ, Case worker for Kentucky Department of Human Recources, and assistant Post-Master of the Peytonsburg Post Office. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Father-in-law & Mother-in-law, Homer & Dellie Mae (Kerr) Watson, Brothers-in-law, Skinner Blakely & Otis Watson, Sisters-in-law, Christine (Watson) Smith & Shirley (Watson) Looney, Very special Friend, Margaret (Gaines) Garmon.
She is survived by her husband, Clayton Watson, whom she wed on Saturday, December 26, 1970, Sons, Nicholas (& Loria) Watson, Bradley (& Julie) Watson, David (& Heather) Watson, Joe Chad (& Rebecca) Watson all of Burkesville, Siblings, Rachael (Jones) Blakely of Burkesville, Joe David (& Judy) Jones of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, brother-in-law, Jack Looney of Crossville, Tennessee, sister-in-law, Mary Jo Watson of Burkesville, Grandchildren, Nikki Lea (& Jordan), Matt Dale, Emily (& Riley), Alex (& Loralee), Ashley (& Abel), Kaleb, Kaden, Delilah, Shaun, Silas & Sydney, Great-Grandchildren, Rylea, Braylea, Logan, Hadley, John Marshall, Jonah, James, Winston, & Salem, Nieces & Nephews, Paula, Judy Carolyn, Ryan, Michael, Doug, Guy, & Kenny Ray.
The Funeral Service was conducted on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Castillo and Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Casket Bearers were Kaleb Watson, Alex Watson, Riley Wisdom, Jordan Anderson, Abel Troyer, Joey Carter, Doug Watson, Michael Watson, Guy Looney and Kenny Bennett. Honorary Casket Bearers were Kaden Watson, Shaun Watson, Silas Watson, Winston Watson, John Watson, Jonah Watson, James Watson, Matt Dale Watson, Logan Watson, Dr. Robert L. Flowers, Sr. and Dr. Robert L. Flowers, Jr.. Burial was in The Scott Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
