Andrew Gene Weiss

     Mr. Andrew Gene Weiss, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Cumberland County Hospital, in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 24 years, 9 months, and 11 days. He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on Friday, August 14, 1998 the son of Anthony Barger and Marty Weiss. He was a tree trimmer for “A Cut above Tree Service” and attended Rose of Sharon and Liberty United Methodist Churches.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jim Barger and Pansy (Thacker) Barger Lee, brother, Nick Cherry, uncles, Robert Barger, Randy Scott, Mike Davis, aunt, Mandy Vincent.      

     He is survived by his father, Anthony Barger, of Burkesville, Kentucky, mother, Marty Weiss of Cookeville, Tennessee, his Step-Father, Eddie Huddleston of Celina, Tennessee, spouse, Taylor Gilbert, daughter Caisie Cade Weiss all of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandparents, Theresa Vincent of Cookeville, Tennessee,  Donald Vincent  of Burkesville, Kentucky, siblings, Amy Lynn Weiss (& Kenneth Anderson) of Glasgow, Kentucky, Austin Lee Weiss of Cookeville, Tennessee, Anthony Joseph “A.J.” Weiss, John Russell Key, and Dakota Vincent all of Burkesville, Kentucky, aunts and uncles, Paula Asberry of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Paul “Butch” Weiss, Teddy Allen Weiss both of Glasgow, Kentucky, Robert Bobby Weiss, Gary Joe Weiss, Amy Scott, Brandy (& Mathew) Wallace all of Cookeville, Tennessee, Diane (& Johnny) and Nick Carter of Burkesville, Kentucky, Jimmy Barger, Cathey Davis, Alice Barger, Debra (& Ricky) Spears all of Burkesville, Kentucky, nieces and nephew, Bella Grider, Joseph Grider both of Burkesville, Kentucky, Hadley Anderson of Glasgow, Kentucky, and numerous cousins.

          The funeral service was conducted on, Saturday June 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the memory chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Bryant, Bro. Neal Owsley, and Bro. Jonathan Thacker officiating. Burial was in the Perkins Cemetery in Cumberland County, Casket Bearers were “A.J.” Weiss, Austin Weiss, Jr. Huddleston, Stevie Joe Davidson, Jonathan Thacker, Chris Sparks, Dakota Vincent, Jordan Isabell. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to help defray final expenses. Donations may be left at Norris-New Funeral Home.
